Student Volunteers are a Big Help

The Food Pantry is blessed with several high school students who help stock shelves with the donated items. Most of the donations are gathered in the morning, and students come after school to sort the items and get them on the shelves before the Pantry opens at 4 pm., or on Saturday mornings. It’s a fun way to help out the community–give it a try!

Daisies Bloom at the Pantry

Girl Scout Daisy Troop 283 visited the Pantry on Saturday morning, February 1st.  They took a tour of the Pantry, then helped put items they were donating on the shelves.  The support of the local Girl Scout and Boy Scout organizations are greatly appreciated!

Meet Michael

Meet Michael De Armas. For over a year now, he has volunteered when the Pantry is open on the 1st Saturday of each month. Michael is shown checking in the neighbors who have come to shop. He also assists neighbors with selecting frozen meats and toiletries.

Meet Laurie

Meet Laurie, a volunteer Shopper. Each neighbor that visits the Pantry is matched with a volunteer Shopper who guides them through the Pantry, and helps them find food items. Laurie also comes early on Tuesday evenings to setup the fresh produce display area
