Cary-Grove Community Fights Hunger

april2012cgfoodpantry Once again, St. Barnabas Christian Preschool and St. Barnabas Lutheran Church are collaborating to raise money for the pantry. Last year they rose in excess of $15,000. Both Cary and Fox River Grove will be hosting events during the month of April to benefit this campaign. Many of our two town’s organizations will be hosting events.

These eatery’s are donating a percentage on the dates and times below. All proceeds will go to the Cary-Grove Food Pantry

Tuesday April 3^rd – Cary McDonalds 5-8pm

Monday April 9^th- Brunch Café in FRG all day

Saturday April 14^th - Noodles and Company in Crystal Lake 4-10 pm

Saturday April 21^st - Panara Bread in FRG 8am-8pm

Monday April 23^rd – Wendy’s Night in Cary 5-8pm

Saturday April 28^th - Pancake Breakfast at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church 9-11am

The Cary Grove High School art department is having their annual Rising Artist Show on April 18^th from 6-8pm. They are donating their proceeds to the pantry.

The pantry is always in need of paper products, toiletries, laundry and cleaning supplies, baby food, diapers, canned foods, pasta, rice, healthy cereals and more.

Monetary contributions are greatly appreciated as 75% of our food is purchased at a significantly discounted rate. As such, one dollar spent at the Northern IL Food Bank goes a very long way.

Seventeen classes of Chemistry students at Cary-Grove High School recently celebrated Mole Day. As part of the celebration students collected $1125.50 in donations for the Cary-Grove Food Pantry.
